Douglas A. Evans, 56 of Bloomfield passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019 surrounded by family at IU Hospice House after a 6 ½ year cancer battle. Doug was a great man who enjoyed music, motorcycles and he loved his family immensely. He is survived by his wife Monica, sons, Matthew and Michael (Josie) Evans, step-sons, Ryan (Kelsie) Vandeventer, Chris (Penny) Brown, grandchildren, Blaine, Olivia and Remi, sisters Mary, Linda and Nancy, brother-in-law’s, Steve, Mark, Mike and Tracy, several nieces and nephews, mother-in-law Dee Myers and father-in-law Jerry (Anneita) Vandeventer. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mary Evans and brother Michael. Doug’s wishes for cremation have been entrusted to Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. A celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
