(Severin) Hallett, age 94, died on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma, Washington. She was a long time Harborite. She was born on April 16, 1924, in Walla Walla, Washington to Lloyd E. and Ernestine (Reeves) Barnett. Following her schooling, she worked at the Hostess Bakery Company in Seattle. Dorathy was married to Robert S. Severin on July 11, 1946, in Seattle. He died on January 9, 1987. The couple lived in Seattle prior to moving to Hoquiam in 1952. Here, Dorathy worked in area shingle mills. She volunteered at the Humptulips Food Bank, the Coastal Harvest and the Hoquiam Senior Center. On March 17, 1998, Dorathy was married to Stanley W. Hallett. They traveled to Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii and enjoyed trips to Alaska and Canada. Dorathy enjoyed being around her family and enjoyed square and ballroom dancing. She also enjoyed crocheting. Dorathy is survived by her daughters, Nancy Nix and Kandee (Severin) Skalicky. A celebration of her life will be held on April 16, 2019, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the home of Kandee Skalicky at 44 Lower Falls Creek Road, Elma, WA 98541. Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary, 422 – 5th Street in Hoquiam, Washington.
