Donald E. “Don” Cochran of Bloomfield, Indiana passed away at home on January 28, 2019 at the age of 87. Don was born in Daviess County, Indiana on October 2, 1931 the son of James and Geneva (Pownall) Cochran. Don graduated from Scotland High School in 1949 and on December 9, 1950 he and Patsy Whitaker were united in marriage. He began farming at an early age and continued working on a smaller scale by growing a large garden and doing yard work. He had a great love of the outdoors and spent many happy hours hunting and fishing, as well as teaching his children to have the same love of the land. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Leon. He is survived by his wife, one son, John, daughter, Brenda Cochran all of Bloomfield, a daughter, Eva Jane “Janie” Barker of Clarkrange, Tennessee., three granddaughters, Patsy Fleetwood, Lesley Bledsoe and Abigail Cochran, two grandsons, Christopher Cochran and Alex Cochran and four great grandchildren. Family, friends and neighbors will gather for a Celebration of Life at the Antioch Church Community Building at 12:00 P.M. on Sunday March 31, 2019.
