Diana’s Obituary Diana Montoya, 58, a resident of Irving, Texas, since 1998, died on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Irving. Born April 15, 1960, in Edinburg, Texas, she was the daughter of Graceila (Gracie) Montoya. After graduating from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High School in Pharr, Texas, she attended Washington State University in Pullman, Washington. Diana began working for the City of Irving on August 11, 2003, as a Records Technician. In just under a year she promoted to Senior Office Assistant. Throughout her tenure of over 15 years, she continued to advance in the City Secretary’s Office, culminating in her becoming an Administrative Assistant to the City Secretary on July 1, 2018. On October 10, 2010, Diana married Roy Trevino in Irving, Texas. Diana loved to travel and was always ready for a new adventure whether it was to Las Vegas for a little gambling or to New York City to take in the sights. Diana also loved her four legged “kids” Mindy and Smokie. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Gracie; her husband, Roy; and her many friends who she considered her family. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home, 1225 East Irving Boulevard, Irving, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the memorial service to Team HOPE (Helping Others Prosper Everyday), a group who gives hope to those less fortunate. Read More
