Delbert “Butch”‘s Obituary Delbert “Butch” E. George, Jr., 66, of Kunkletown, Lower Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly early Saturday morning, March 2, 2019, at his residence. He was the companion of Agnes (Kibler) Souders for the past several years. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Delbert, Sr. and Edith (Miller) George-Peters. Butch was employed as a mechanic and truck driver by Smiley Trucking, former NJ Zinc Company, Palmerton. He was a member of the Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club, a social member of the VFW, Palmerton Post, and a life member of the Sun Valley Volunteer Fire Company, Monroe County. Survivors: Daughter, Whitney wife of Scott Rice of Saylorsburg. 2 granddaughters Haiden and Bailey Rice. Stepdaughters, Tina wife of Todd Ahner of Slatington, Rhonda wife of Robert Spadell, Joeleen Souders and companion Rubin Soto, all of Palmerton. 5 step-grandchildren, Tanya wife of Aaron Kromer of Slatington, Tyler Easterly, Cassie Easterly, Damian Hatcher, Ayleah Dease, all of Palmerton. 2 step-great-grandchildren, Kamron Kromer and Khali George. Sisters, Dorothea wife of Paul Strohl, Diane Bollinger. Several aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Butch also leaves behind many good friends, especially Richard “Dick” Smiley.
