Darlene Ross Wright, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2019 with her loved ones at her side at Asheville Health Care Center. The daughter of the late Clarence and Rosa Leigh Bailey Ross, she was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on October 2, 1949. Darlene was a member of Clinchfield Presbyterian Church in Marion. Left to cherish her precious memories are her loving husband of 51 years, Michael Wright; one son, Adam Wright (Brooke); one daughter, Jennifer Nix (Tim); one grandson, Michael Ross Wright; one sister, Abbie Pepper (Dr. Francis Pepper); and two special friends, Daniel Buchanan and Garrett Buchanan. A service to celebrate Mrs. Wright’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service in Marion with Rev. Larry Grady officiating. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
