Charles Ellis Throckmorton, age 77, of Nixa, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019. He was born April 7, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Charles Winstead and Marcella (Hudson) Throckmorton. He lived in Little Rock during most of his school years, before the family moved to the Kansas City area. Charles served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Charles never lost his sense of humor, and enjoyed being with his family and friends. He was easy going and never said a bad word about others. He loved music and dancing, and making trips to Arkansas. He was a car and furniture salesman throughout his working career. Survivors include: Two children, Steve Throckmorton and wife April of Marshfield, and Karen Throckmorton, of Sparta; two grandchildren, Aspen Snodgrass and husband Derek , and Clay Throckmorton, all of Marshfield; a great-granddaughter, Millie Snodgrass; two sisters, Sue Payne, and Carol Wells, both of the Kansas City area. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 22, 2019 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM Thursday, March 21, 2019 in the funeral home.
