Beverly A. Gerecke Ervin, 68, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Southeast Hospital after a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born March 8, 1951 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to William J. and Elizabeth Louise Metje Gerecke. She and Wilton L. Ervin were united in marriage July 15, 1972 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Bev attended school in Sikeston and Cape Girardeau, graduating from Cape Central High School in 1969. After graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper until she became a stay at home mom. She was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 3775 and she loved to golf and spoil her grandkids. Bev is survived by her husband, Wilton L. Ervin of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Jessica Allred of East Prairie, Missouri, Meagan (Lyle) Riggs of Jackson, Missouri and Abigail Ervin of Cape Girardeau; father, William J. (Sue) Gerecke of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Robert (Nancy) Gerecke of Blue Springs, Missouri, Doug (Loretta) Gerecke of Dexter, Missouri and Mike (Debbie) Gerecke of Columbia, Missouri; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother. A celebration of her life will be held 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Ford & Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
