Mrs. Betty V. McCully 88, a resident of Linneus, MO. died Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 3:05 P.M. at Pioneer Skilled Nursing Home, Marceline, MO. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, Trenton, Mo. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery West of Galt, MO. There is no scheduled family visitation. Mrs. McCully was born Sept. 14, 1930 in Watertown, South Dakota the daughter of Walter and Vesta Iva Cook Burress. She and her husband Harold farmed in the Milan area and also operated a grocery store in Newtown during their married life. She was a member of the Salem Methodist Church west of Galt. On Nov. 30, 1947 she was married to Harold McCully at Galt, MO. He preceded in death on March 23, 1996. Her survivors include one sister Ruth Reiners, Overland Park, Kansas. One niece Joyce Blehm, Brookfield, Mo., one nephew Randall Barnett, Ruidoso, New Mexico and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Richard McCully, two sisters Jean Land (Burress), one infant brother David Burress, two brothers Walter Junior Burress and Robert Burress.
