Barbara Kristine Chipman June 20, 1952 – March 20, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Barbara Kristine Chipman, age 66, of St. Elizabeth, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, surrounded by her family at her home. She was born in St. Louis on June 20, 1952, daughter of Earl Winfield Hobbs Jr. and Eleanor Barbara (Pyle) Hobbs. Barbara had a rewarding career as an LPN and enjoyed caring for her patients. She enjoyed crafting and tending to her horses and plants. Barbara loved and cherished the times spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by five children, Leighton Ash of SeaTac, Washington, Ryan Ash (Christie) of St. Elizabeth, Andrea Holtmeyer (Dale) of St. Elizabeth, Holly Chipman of St. Elizabeth, and John Chipman (Margie) of St. Elizabeth; 13 grandchildren, Emily Ash, Dylan Ash, Vincent Ash, Nolan Holtmeyer, Clayton Holtmeyer, Callie Holtmeyer, Bradley Glowczewski, Brittany Glowczewski, Noah Chipman, Michaelee Rowden, Malcolm Rowden, Hailey Chipman and Bryan Chipman; her mother, Barbara Hobbs; and one sister, Becky Mitchell (Eliot). She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Hobbs Jr., brother, Thomas “Steve” Hobbs, and one grandson, Shadrach Rowden. A memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony with Fr. Joby Thomas officiating.
