Anita “Hannah” Jewett October 05, 1937 – March 25, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation DEXTER – Anita L. Jewett, 81, died March 25, 2019 at her residence. She was born October 5, 1937 in Ripley, a daughter of Alton and Gertrude (Downing) Gould. She was an avid reader and devoted member of the Maine Draft Horse and Ox Association. She had been a stitcher at Dexter Shoe Company for 43 years. Anita is survived by a son and wife John R. Jewett, Jr. and wife Gail Jewett of Dexter; a daughter, Diana and husband Raymond Clukey all of Dexter; a sister, Marjorie Deering of Ripley; grandchildren Sarah and husband Mark, Scott and significant other Alice, Lucas and significant other Kate; great grandchildren Bryce, Blair, Harlie and Liam; a special cousin Debbie; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John, Sr., brothers Robert and Blaine Gould, and a great grandson, Griffin. Graveside funeral and committal services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, May 3rd, at Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Maine Draft Horse and Ox Association, c/o Sandra Dickey, 301 Fahi Pond Road, North Anson, ME 04958.
