Obituary of Amelia F. Banks Bedford – Amelia F. Banks, 85, of Bedford, died at 9:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Westview Nursing and Rehab. Born September 4, 1933, in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of Richard Lee and Catherine Florence (Manning) Ramsey. She married Mack Banks and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She loved the Lord and was always singing hymns. Survivors include her children, Thomas E. Chumley and wife, Wanda, of Elizabethtown, KY, Douglas P. Chumley and wife, Cheryl, of Stafford, VA, Catherine Brown and husband, Robert, of Bedford, Curt E. Chumley and partner, Jamie, of Seymour, David W. Banks, of Bedford, Mack W. Banks, Jr., of Bedford, Daniel L. Banks and wife, Jane, of Bedford; several grandchildren whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Richard L. Ramsey, Jr., Merle Ramsey and Sammy Ramsey; a sister, Starlynne Ramsey. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Richard Tallman officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
