Allen T. Byrd Sr. (65) of White Swan passed away at the Cottage in the Meadow in Yakima on Friday March 1, 2019. Allen was born in Claremore, OK on January 4, 1954 to Jerry and Mamie (Charley-Kahclamat) Byrd. He was graduated from White Swan High School and Haskell in Lawrence, KS. He also attended SIPI in Albuquerque. He worked as a blackjack dealer at Legends Casino and for the Yakama Nation Housing Authority. He enjoyed his Harley, attending rally’s and playing his guitar. He is survived by his spouse, Carol; his father, Jerry Byrd; two sons, Alton and Allen Jr.; a daughter, Chrystal Byrd; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sara Jane Rodriguez, Debra Byrd and Lucinda Sampson. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandmother. Overnight services will be at 1PM Tuesday at the Toppenish Creek Longhouse in White Swan with burial Wednesday at 8AM at the Toppenish Creek Cemetery.
