Samuel “Sammy” M. Hendrix, 76 passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family and under the care of Kendrid Hospice. He was born in Claxton July 15, 1942 to Clyde and Blanche Dees Hendrix and lived in Claxton and Glennville all of his life. He was a 1962 Graduate of Claxton High School and was a self employed painting contractor. He was an… Read More » avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, coon hunt and be with his grandsons. He was a member of Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Son, Shane Hendrix, Brother, Curtis Hendrix, Daughter in-law, Serenia Hendrix, Granddaughter, Christina Faith Hendrix. He is survived by wife, Gail M. Hendrix of Glennville, GA Son, Mark Hendrix of Glennville, GA Daughter in-law, Carla Hendrix of Glennville, GA Brother, Edwin (Barbara) Hendrix of Hazlehurst, GA Sisters, Iola (Junior) Conley of Hagan, GA Ann (Bill) Young of Claxton, GA Gloria (Colon) Hendrix of Statesboro, GA Sister in-law, Delta (Dale) Rogers of Glennville, GA Grandchildren, Walt, Will and Waylon Hendrix, several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will begin 9:30 AM, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Battle Creek Church Cemetery.
