Michael “Mick” James Worley, 80, of Lost Creek passed away at 7:19 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 surrounded by loving family. He was born in Buckhannon on September 20, 1938 a son of the late Earlon B. Worley and Mabel V. Linton Worley. On June 19, 2018 he and his wife Shalleen Dillard Worley celebrated 21 wonderful years together. Mick is also survived by two children: Sharon Mullooly and husband, Philip, of Sumner, WA, and Robert Worley of Pittsburgh, PA; two step children: Aimee Browning and husband, Robert, of Morrisvale, WV, and Brian L. Cross and wife, Shawna, of Westover, WV; three grandchildren: Elizabeth A. McCleery, Logan E. Mullooly, and Nathan T. Browning; three great grandchildren: Mariah A. Mullooly, Saige E. McCleery, and Hadley R. McCleery; and his beloved K-9 Lacey. In addition to his parents, Mick was preceded in death by one son, Michael “Andrew” Worley; and one brother, William L. Worley. Mick was a member of the graduating class of 1958 from Glenville High School. He often enjoyed fishing. Mick was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. As a certified Master Welder, Mick was employed with Equitable Resources for more than 34 years. After retiring, he became a very accomplished wood worker. His craftsmanship was evident if you saw his furniture and jewelry boxes. Mick’s request for cremation has been honored and a private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
