Obituary for Judy Solomon Judy Solomon died peacefully at her home in Longmont on July 24th surrounded by her three daughters. She courageously fought a blood disorder for a number of years that weakened her, but she refused to complain, rather continued to find ways to see joy and beauty in the simplest of things. Her family draws strength from the courage and dignity in the way she ran the race of life . In her 82 years, Judy was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and most recently a great-grandmother. The consummate extravert, she never met a person she wouldn’t like to get to know. She loved all things outdoors whether it was tending her plants, sitting on the patio sharing conversation, bird watching, or enjoying a beautiful sunset. In her younger years, she was a water skier, a snow mobiler, a camper extraordinaire, and a motor home adventurer with her beloved husband, Ron. After retiring early, Ron and Judy moved to Mountain Home Arkansas, where they enjoyed more than twenty years living on beautiful Lake Norfolk. After Ron’s death, Judy returned to Colorado three years ago to be closer to family. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Thelma Schroeder, and her husband of fifty-three years, Ron. She is survived by her brother Charles Schroeder (Dee), and three daughters, Dana (Winnie), Diana, Carey (Richard). Also surviving are two grandsons, Dustin (Molly), and Ryan (Kelli), and one great-grandson Colin. As a cradle Episcopalian she worshiped in an Episcopal Church wherever she lived. Her church, her faith, and her family were the cornerstones of her life. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Longmont on Aug. 4th at 11:00 AM.
