He was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, serving as a member of the choir, and the St. Nicholas Civic and Education Club. He was a coach for youth baseball and softball teams for many years, teaching not only the game but the spirit of good sportsmanship. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren; he also enjoyed his garden, golfing, and traveling the world with his beloved wife. His passion for Penn State Football was contagious; he told a great story and it was always filled with humor. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Steelton. He loved to share life lessons such as his favorite quote from Jim Valvano, “To me there are three things everyone should do every day. Number one is laugh. Number two is think – spend some time…time in thought. Number three, you should have your emotions move you to tears. If you laugh, think and cry, that’s a heck of a day.” Memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church, 601 S. Harrisburg Street, Oberlin, Steelton, PA 17113 or to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 or online at www.lbda.org/donate.
