Obituary of Joe Palk, Sr. Joe Palk passed away on September 8, 2018 at age 77. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Mike Powell, is 11 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. Mr. Palk was born in Waverly TN but lived in Lafayette TN. He served his community as a fireman and a farmer after serving his country in the United States Navy. He loved working with wood, exploring caves, and delighting folks with money origami. He is survived by wife Mary Lou McLaughlin Palk, children William Joe (Deena) Palk Jr., Nelda Lou Nartker, Brandie M. (David) Hooge, and Richard Donovan (Rhonda) Palk; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, siblings Virgil D. (Rosanna) Palk, Darrel (Brenda) Palk, Norma Wright, Diane (Drew) Bell, Ted (Betty) Palk, Donna Turner, and Glenna Sue Palk, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Lisel and Louville Palk, brother Larry Palk, brother-in-law Nelson Wright, and son-in-law Kevin Nartker. Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN, 615.444.9393.
