Obituary for Wilma Dee LaViness Wilma Dee (Seay) La Viness died on July 16, 2018 at home in Wagoner, OK. She was born on August 21, 1936 in Shawnee, OK. to Paul Sullivan Seay and Claudia Dee (Miles) Seay. On August 8, 1953, she married Donnie Ray La Viness in Seminole, OK. They had three sons. In the mid-1970s, she worked at Tidings of Peace Nursing Home in Broken Arrow as a cook, dietitian, activities director, and manager. Wilma was a very talented lady who enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, making jewelry, painting ceramics, t-shirts and other clothing, and many other creative activities. She also enjoyed researching the family history. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister Claudia Elaine (Moody) Kisor; a brother Lewis Odell “Butch” Moody; and two sons, Larry DeWayne La Viness and Danny Russell La Viness. She is survived by her son Gene La Viness (Renee’); a sister, Beth Hayes; her caretaker/nephew Shannon Hayes; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
