Janelle W Lindhorst 2018

Janelle Webster Lindhorst, 82, of Asheville passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 after a period of declining health. Born in Creston, NC, she was the daughter of the late Mae Brown Sutherland Webster and Fred Raymond Webster. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Karl Lindhorst and sisters, Rachel Eggers and Carolyn Combs and brother Jack Webster. Janelle retired as an administrative assistant for Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Cleveland, Ohio. She met her husband Fred at the Telephone Company. After they retired, they moved to Asheville in 1986. Among her many interests, Janelle enjoyed the adventure of travel and was an avid lover of nature and wildlife. She had a passion for cooking and sewing. Janelle loved life. She is survived by her sister, Jimmie Kirby and nephew, Glenn Kirby of Louisville, KY and nephew, Bryan Combs of Arden, NC. We extend our special thanks to her beloved caretakers at Home Carefree for the wonderful care and companionship they provided for Mrs. Janelle over the years. On Monday, July 16, 2018 family and friends can visit at Groce Funeral Home, Long Shoals Road from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery located in Black Mountain, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Brother Wolf at 31 Glendale Ave., Asheville, NC 28803.
