Obituary of Tommie Granger Tommie Lee Granger, 87, of Spurger passed away peacefully on July 2, 2018. Born October 29, 1930 in Daisetta, Texas to the late T.E. and Blanch Jordan McClusky, she lived in Spurger for many years. Tommie was a faithful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved to make quilts by hand and monogram them on the back with her own handprint. She was famous for her divinity and “Tea Cakes” she made for family and friends. She loved to crochet and sew for others and write poems for her family and friends. Tommie was a lady of many hats especially the ones she made and wore to match her smiling personality and charm. Tommie was a member of the TOPS in Spurger for twenty years, the Red Hats Society and KOPS for fifteen years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Jasper, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Tommie is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Noah Adam Granger, Jr; son, and daughter-in-law, Terry and Kay Granger of Silsbee; daughter and son-in-law, Jacquelyn and Ernest Plaunty of Silsbee; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Keith Hatton of Hillister; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 5, 2018, at 3 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bobby South and Brother Marvin Mott officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 pm until the time of the service on Thursday. A graveside service will be held at 5 pm at the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake, Tx.
