Rudolph J Maldonado 2018

Rudolph J. Maldonado, 83, of Metuchen died on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Manhattan, he had also lived in the Bronx & Edison before moving to Metuchen. He worked for IBM & Control Data as a Systems Analyst. He designed the first money transfer system for Banco Nacional. He proudly served in the US Air Force & was a member of the American Legion Post 65 in Metuchen. He was also a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph & Dolores; and a brother, Edgar (d.2012). He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosina of Metuchen; two daughters, Edwardina & Michael of Spotswood, and Christine & Mark of Flemington; 2 granddaughters, Shawna & Amber; & two sisters, Carmen & Matilda. A funeral service will take place on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10 AM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middle Ave (Rt.27), Metuchen followed by interment at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation www.jdrf.org.
