Obituary of Ronald Hornak Ronald J. Hornak, 73, of Kendall Park died Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home. Born in Oceanside, CA, he was raised in Donora, PA. Ron was valedictorian at Mon Valley Catholic High School Class of 1963 and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he also received his MBA. Ron was an Assistant Vice President of cash management at Marine Midland bank in New York City and later was the Assistant Treasurer at PSE&G in Newark, NJ, where he worked for over 30 years. Ron had many friends and was loyal to all of them. He was president of the New Jersey Chapter of the Pitt Alumni Club. His passion for Pitt was so great that some say it was Ron who coined the phrase, “Hail to Pitt!” Son of the late Joseph J. and Lillian (Zajack) Hornak, husband of the late Marguerite (Rudek) Hornak, brother of the late Bernard Hornak, he is survived by 2 brothers and a sister in law Joseph A. Hornak, Richard and Carol Hornak, niece Natalie, and 2 nephews Timothy and Brian. The Funeral will be held 9:00 am on Monday, July 16, 2018 from the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, St. Augustine of Canterbury Church 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, NJ. Friends may call on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 2-4 pm at the MJ Murphy Funeral Home 616 Ridge Road at New road, Monmouth Junction, NJ. Burial will be in St. Dominic’s Cemetery in Donora, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
