Mary Joy Story Strowd January 12 1941 July 25 2018 (age 77)

Mary Strowd was born January 12, 1941 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Marcus Story and Inez Patton Story. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by those who loved her until they meet again. Mary loved crocheting, reading, gardening, her pets, and spending time with her husband and family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Kenneth, Joe, Leroy, sister Jean Green, and her son Randy. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years, James; her son Russell Strowd and wife Lorraine; and her two precious grandchildren, Kayla and Kade; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mary Strowd will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00am at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale with interment to follow. Viewing and visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9:30am.
