Obituary for Ernie J. Bontrager Ernie J. Bontrager, 63, Goshen, died 8:35 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Courtyard Healthcare, Goshen. He was born Feb. 1, 1955 in Kokomo to Melvin J. & Celesta M. (Troyer) Bontrager. Surviving are sons, Taylor Bontrager, Indianapolis, Raleigh Bontrager, Goshen, siblings, Eva Shearer (Scott Robinson), Goshen, Galen (Gladys) Bontrager, Goshen, Leanna (Jonathan) Yoder, Bristol and twins, Marie (Leroy) Troyer, Sarasota, Florida and Lee (Dorothy) Bontrager, Middlebury. He was preceded in death by his parents. Ernie was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1975-1977. He worked in Telecommunications, Continuant of Seattle, Washington, contracted by Elkhart General Hospital and was a member of Crossroads Community Church, Goshen. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. all on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. Pastor Clark Howe of Crossroads Community Church will officiate.
