Betty Jean Shultz, age 87, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at her rural Portland home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Chapel Church, the Women’s Auxiliary of Gideons International, and Christian Women’s Fellowship. Betty was born September 20, 1930 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of Alton and Alma (Franke) Liddy. She was married on December 24, 1948 to Lewis Shultz and he passed away on October 4, 2013. Survivors Include: 2 Sons- Steve Shultz (wife-Cassie), Portland, Indiana Timothy Shultz (wife-Kim), Carbondale, Colorado 3 Daughters- Anita Frasher (husband-Dave), Portland, Indiana Tina Gresenz (husband-Bob), Orange, California Tamara Sisler (husband-Tom), Hartford City, Indiana 2 Sisters- Darlene Gennaitte. Fort Wayne, Indiana Sandy Crosley, Grand Rapids, Michigan 14 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by a sister- Sharon Meeks Visitation will be held from 1-4pm on Sunday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday in the Union Chapel Church, 6238 N. 375 W., Bryant, Indiana. Pastor Mike Morgan will officiate the services and burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant. Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice.
