Anita B Howell 2018

Anita B. Howell, age 84, of Royal, died Sunday, July 29, 2018. She was born on August 15, 1933 in Bear, the daughter of John Rubin Humphreys and Dera Virginia Goodwin Humphreys. On October 1, 1966, she married James N. Howell who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roy Humphreys and Robert Humphreys; one sister, Lois Hill; three brothers-in-law, Clyde Hill, Kenny Simpson and Walter Mayberry; and one sister-in-law, Ernestine Humphreys. Anita was a member of Forest Hills Church of God and a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and singing. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Laura Howell of Hot Springs and David and Melissa Howell of Royal; five grandchildren, Kirsten Howell, Alexander and Cheyenne Howell, Megan Howell, Nicholas Howell and Katherine Howell; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Sally Simpson, Freda and Vernon Davis, Nell Chambers and Ruth Mayberry, all of Royal; one sister-in-law, Louise Humphreys of Illinois; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 2, 2018 in the Forest Hills Church of God with Bro. Larry Mayberry officiating. Interment will be in Lowe Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Joel Davis, Chris Davis, Shannon Davis, Russell Hill, Jerry Hill, Dan Lawniczak and Mike Simpson. Honorary pallbearers will be James Hill and the members of Forest Hills Church of God. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
