Edward Lanza 2018

Edward Giovanni Lanza, of Harrisburg, PA passed from this life on May 26, 2018 at the age of 52 following a 15-month illness. Ed was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras on January 7th, 1966. He graduated from Messiah College in 1988 and from Dickinson School of Law in 1997. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, coach, mentor, and friend. He is survived by Teresa (Martin) Lanza, his wife of 28 years, his sons Lucas, age 17, and Tristan, age 16. He also leaves behind his mother, Maria Vasquez, his siblings Gloria Punales, Oscar Lanza, Ralph Lanza, and their spouses, 14 nieces and nephews and 3 great-nieces and great-nephews. Ed practiced law at several firms in Harrisburg before opening The Lanza Firm in 2014. He was a member of local bar associations including the Hispanic National Bar Association where he formerly served as Regional President. He was a member of the President’s Leadership Council at Messiah College and a member at Linglestown Life Church where he served on the Administrative Board. Ed was also a passionate soccer coach, player and fan. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 9th, at Linglestown Life Church located at 1430 N. Mountain Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112. The family will receive guests from 10:00 – 10:45 and the service will begin at 11:00 am. An education fund has been established for Tristan and Lucas. Contributions can be sent to the Lanza Education Fund at Santander Bank, 4402 Oakhurst Blvd, Harrisburg, PA 17110. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ed’s name to Covenant Christian Academy, 1982 Locust Ln, Harrisburg, PA 17109 for the future soccer fields.
