Obituary of DeVaine Thompson, Sr. DeVaine Belmont Thompson, Sr., 96, of Warren passed away unto the Lord on May 28, 2018. We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from DeVaine – D.B.- Daddy-PaPa-Pop, during his 96 years. He lived the fullest of lives. Devaine proudly served his country during WWII as a U.S. Navy Radioman Third Class. He was Texas Mason for 68 years serving as a proud member of the Myrta Masonic Lodge #658 in Warren and Snow River Lodge #385 in Spurger. His proudest accomplishments in life were his family most especially his marriage of 73 years to his wife, Mary Agnes Thompson. He is also survived by his three children, D.B. Thompson, Jr. and wife, Sharon, Frank A. Thompson and wife, Patricia and Cheryl A. Frith and husband, Rodney; grandchildren, Amy LeBlanc and husband, Brad, Kimen Johnson and husband, Mark, Heath Thompson and Nick Thompson and wife, Stephany; six great grandchildren, Jacob Thompson, Chase Fondren, Madison Fondren, Abagail LeBlanc, Kinley Thompson and Colsen Thompson. DeVaine spent many treasured hours hunting and fishing with his family. He bagged his greatest trophy at the age of 93, a Boone and Crockett Record Book whitetail in East Texas. Over his 96 years, DeVaine B. Thompson Sr. touched the lives of many and was truly loved by all. He never stopped living life and left a legacy to which we all should aspire. DeVaine and Agnes were faithful members of the Hillister Assembly of God Church. Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 10 am at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Rusty West officiating. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Warren, Tx. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Holland, Earl Johnson, Robert Ramer, Sr., Charlie Broussard, James Brocker, Jim Fitzgerald, Tommy Griffin and Al Holiman
