Charles Barton Henderson, 82, Indiana, died Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Bethany Place Personal Care Home. The son of Robert and Emma Sarah (Thompson) Henderson, he was born June 22, 1935 in Aultman, PA. Charles was a member of the Luciusboro Wesleyan Methodist Church and was employed as a coal miner at Lucerne Mines #6 for 33 years and was also employed by Indigo for ten years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making belts, purses and wallets out of leather. Surviving are his children, Chuck Henderson, Las Vegas, NV and Ethan Siddiqi, Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Aneisha Henderson, Homer City, Marisa Henderson, Aultman, and Angel Henderson, Aultman; sister, Mary Jane Hankinson, Blairsville; and many nieces and nephews, especially Donna and Janice who were most loving and helpful. Preceding Charles in death were her parents; wife, Janet Henderson; brother, Robert Frances Henderson; and a sister, Margaret Phipps. Friends will be received on Thursday from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home with funeral service to immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Robert Thornton, officiating. Interment in the Oakland Cemetery will be private.
