Shelbi Nicole Maurer Kotterman, 38, of Brazil, died unexpectedly May 26, 2018. She was born May 24, 1980, the daughter of Matt Maurer and Rebecca Atkinson Maurer. She last worked for Ascena as office staff. In the past, she had also worked for Heartland in Greencastle. Shelbi was a care giver to her dad and also helped care for nephews and nieces. Survivors… Read More » include her parents, Matt and Rebecca Maurer of Brazil; her children, Blake Kotterman of Blue Springs, MO and Baileigh Gillin of Brazil; her sisters, Jennifer Swaim (Joe), Sarah Blunt (Reynold), and Jessica Maurer (Rick Cooksey); her nieces and nephews, Brayln Hardy, Courtney Blunt, Abby Blunt, Ryland Blunt, Reynlee Blunt, Gunner Godsey, Tucker Cooksey, Ethan Cooksey and Wyatt Cooksey; grandmother Sandra Atkinson of Brazil; many cousins and a large extended family. She was preceded in death by her grandfather John ‘Jack’ Atkinson; and grandparents, Harold and Freida Maurer; one Uncle Don Cheney. Services will be held Saturday June 2, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Lawson-Miller Chapel with Pastor Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
