Obituary for William “Bill” Richard Bass Jr. William “Bill” Richard Bass Jr., 59, of Beech Bottom, WV, passed away at 2:10 AM on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his residence under the care of his family and Amedisys Hospice. Bill was born on May 31, 1958 in Zanesville, OH. He was the son of the late William Richard Bass Sr. and Hilda Mae (Mozingo) Ossman. Bill served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Labor Union Local 809. Many will remember Bill for being a #1 Steeler Fan, fishing with his friends, the love of his cats and playing golf. In addition parents, Bill was preceded in death by his step father, Dwight Ossman, who raised him with his mother. Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Brenda (Leonard) Bass of Beech Bottom, WV, a daughter, Hilda Mae Bass of Wintersville, OH, 5 grandchildren, two brothers, Teddy L. Hart and Michael Hart, both of Wellsburg, WV, three sisters, Dianna Aracich and her husband, Tim of Wellsburg, WV, Sheila Selmon of Follansbee, WV and Tillie Ossman of Wellsburg, WV, several nieces and a nephew. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 3:00 until time of Funeral Service at 5:00 PM at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, WV (304) 737-3551, following the service, Bill will be cremated and returned home to his loving wife, Brenda.
