Carole A Geissler 1939 2018

Obituary of Carole Geissler Cheshire – Carole Ann Cawley Geissler passed peacefully in her home this past weekend. Born in 1939, she grew up on Heath Avenue in the Bronx. She attended St. Catharine’s Academy in the Bronx and Katharine Gibbs in New York. She later married Earl J. Geissler, Jr., and the two settled in Cheshire, where they raised their family. Predeceased by Earl in 2004, Carole is survived by her three children, Jessica Ransom, Christopher Geissler, and Meredith Willson, and their spouses, Greg Ransom, Patrick O’Connor, and Charles Willson, respectively. Carole found great joy in her four grandchildren, Madeleine and Benjamin Snider and Nora and Charlotte Willson. Carole loved everyone’s pets, and the company of her many friends from her life in Cheshire and her work at St. Raphael’s Hospital, particularly in the nursing staff development unit. A memorial service commemorating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at St. James’s Episcopal Church in West Hartford, Connecticut. There will be no calling hours and burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
