Obituary for Dennis Dowdy Dennis Dowdy, 68, of Hudson, Colorado passed away peacefully at home on May 8, 2018. Dennis was born in Fort Lupton, Colorado to Don & Irma (Hanson) Dowdy on March 19, 1950. Dennis served honorably in the Navy from 1969-1975, and received the Bronze Star during the Vietnam War. On April 1, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dennis married the love of his life, Barbara (Knaub) Dowdy. Dennis is survived by his wife; children, D.J. (Audrey) and Rebecca Dowdy; grandchildren, Richard (Nicole) Brown, Bailey Lutz, and Gracie Dowdy; great-grandchildren, Alexander & Roger Brown; siblings, Tony (Marge), and Steve Dowdy; and a large loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Richard Brown Jr.; and brother, Larry Dowdy.
