Gerald Wayne Remy 2018

Gerald Wayne Remy, 71 of Grandview Avenue, Waverly, Ohio died 2:22 p.m. Sunday, 13 May 2018 at Pike Community Hospital Emergency Room, Waverly. Gerald was born 14 December 1946 in Beaver, Ohio the son of the late Leslie Remy and Anna Kathryn (Scheutle) Remy. On 22 June 1980, Gerald was united in marriage to Linda Louise (Copley) Remy, who survives. Also surviving are four Granddaughters, Amanda Kader and husband Ryan of Waverly, Josie Tackett and Dakota Maggard of Beaver, Tabitha Tackett of Festus, Missouri and Allison Lindsey and husband Nick of Kodiak, Alaska, four great grandchildren, Mason Ryan Kader, Warren Lee Kader, Weston Bane Maggard and Landon Liam Lindsey, his beloved dog, Snuggles, brothers, John Remy and wife Carol of Columbus, Ohio and Gene Remy and wife Carolyn of Waverly. Gerald was a retired Industrial Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, Member of Orient Lodge #321 Waverly, Aladdin Shrine, Columbus, honorary member of American Legion Merritt Post #142, Waverly, Moose Lodge #2263 Waverly, Eagles Lodge #2227, Waverly and Lancaster AMVETS, post #1982. His parents and two stepsons, Michael Anthony and Jeffery Wayne Tackett preceded Gerald in death. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, 17 May at BOYER FUNERAL HOME in Waverly with Rev. Phil Green, officiating. Burial will follow in Owl Creek Cemetery, Lucasville, Ohio. Friends may call at the Boyer Funeral Home from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
