Obituary for Yvonne ” Bonnie” C. Kluever Bonnie was born June 15, 1930 in Theresa, Wisconsin a daughter of the late Victor and Irene (Kloke) Haessly. She attended country schools. On October 15, 1965 she was united in marriage to Earl F. Kluever at Adoration Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2011. She and Earl were former owners of the Red Lion Supper Club on Lake Drive. Bonnie is a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. She worked for many years as a counselor at The Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum and Allouez Chapel Mausoleum in Green Bay, retiring in 1993. In her retirement years, Bonnie enjoyed fishing and quilting. She had great interest in politics, loved her country, and enjoyed a lively discussion. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Bonnie cherished her Lord and Savior, and was grateful for Pastor Rinehard’s visits. Survivors include her children, Dennis (Cynthia) Backhaus and Debra (Steve) Martzke; her grandchildren, Jeff (Jae) Backhaus, Dan (Nicole) Backhaus, Jennifer (Kevin) Wagner, Micah (Sabrina) Martzke, and Jessica Martzke; five great-grandchildren, Jonah and Elsa Wagner, Sarah (Mike) Luther, Kristina Martzke, and Samantha Martzke; her great-great-granddaughter, Estes Luther; her brother, Bob Haessly; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Backhaus; her second husband, Earl Kluever; her daughters, Carol Backhaus and Diane Dziatkiewicz; her grandson, Matthew; her son-in-law, David Dziatkiewicz; three brothers, Martin, Kenneth (from Agent Orange in Viet Nam), Jerry Haessly, and her sister, Patricia Haessly Bertram. Funeral service for Bonnie will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 3:00 PM at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Rev. Dr. Timm Griffin will officiate. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd, Green Bay. Visitation will take place at St. James on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to the St. James radio broadcast in the name of Bonnie Kluever.
