Obituary for Mr. Joseph “Joey” Kevin Crews Crews – Joseph “Joey” Kevin Crews, age 49, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on April 15, 2018. He was born in Macclenny, Florida on June 10, 1968 to Roy Reece Crews and Sylvia Jean Humpreys. Joey has been a lifelong resident of Baker County and graduated from Baker County High School in 1986. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Air National Guard where he has proudly served our country the past 32 years. Joey thoroughly enjoyed his career and loved working. He also enjoyed fishing, singing karaoke, playing poker, riding dirt roads, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Joey was an amazing father and grandfather who loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Crews and his nephew, Christopher Rodgers. Joey is survived by his loving parents, Roy (Gayle) Crews of Jacksonville, FL and Sylvia (Robert) Perdue of Macclenny, FL; his children, Ashley (Victor) Salvador Salomao of St. Johns, FL, Joseph Caleb Crews and Joshua Garrett Crews both of Macclenny, FL; his brothers, Reece (Marie) Crews, Bobby (MarKay) Jackson, Carl (Cindy) Perdue, and Terry Perdue; his sisters, Jamie (Clint) Durrence, Tammy Zoller, and Kathy (Tommy) Corns; mother of his children, Kimberly C. Crews; and his grandchildren, Penelopi Yvette, Joshua Corrbit, and Ariel Izabel; many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Joey’s Life will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Temple Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery where military honors will be rendered. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the church.
