Sandra Nell Robbins Rice
Humboldt, TN
Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Nell Rice, age 87, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Bill and Andy Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 PM until 8 PM and Saturday from 12 PM until service time.
Sandra was called home by her Lord December 13, 2023, only a few days before her 88th birthday. She was born in Humboldt on December 29, 1935. Her parents were Mervin and Mary Nell Robbins. She and her husband, Bill Rice, were high school sweet hearts and have been married for 71 years. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and taught a lady’s Sunday School class during the years her husband, Bill was pastor.
She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Mary Nell Griffin. Her father had died when she was only five.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Bill Rice; two daughters, Debbie Barnett (Jerry) and Beth Julian (Philip); a son Andy Rice (Dianna); four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter; a sister, Lynda Vaughan; and brother, David Griffin (Tina).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Antioch Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
