Helen Ruth Hagewood, age 80, of Southside, TN, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.
Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2023 at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with Bro. James Black and Bro. Jon Justice officiating. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2023 and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Helen entered this life on June 24, 1943 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Malinda Herrell. She was a dedicated employee of over 27 years at A.O. Smith in their shipping department. Her hobbies included gardening, shopping, cooking, going to yard sales, and fellowship at the former Covenant Free Will Baptist Church. Helen will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Henry Hagewood, and 8 siblings.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Pamela (Teddy) Lingle; grandchildren, Tommy (Alison) Nolen, April (Joe) Bench; great-grandchildren, Lance Bench, Landon Bench, Jaxson Nolen.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Nolen, Joseph Bench, Lance Bench, Landon Bench, Steve Shamwell, Tony Sigears. Billy Sigears will be serving as Honorary Pallbearer
