Michael L. Pottinger, 78, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at his home in Rochelle, Illinois. Mike was born on December 31, 1944 in Princeton, IL. On June 25, 1983, he married Linda Blomberg Luxton in Rochelle.
Mike is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda; three step children: Kim (Denver) Davis, Kevin (Marisol) Luxton both of Rochelle and Sarah Luxton of Paw Paw, IL; four brothers: Bill (Raquel) Pottinger, Terry (Tammy) Pottinger, Don (Linda) Pottinger and Rick (Penny) Pottinger; two sisters: Carol Morse and Tina (Robert) Pawass; six step grandchildren: Erika (Zach) Harrison, Allison (John Michael) Loggins, Sophie (Charles) Luxton, Macy Luxton, Scott Fore and Cindy (Tori) Dexter; and seven step great grandchildren: Zoey and Elsie Harrison, Dean and Jace Hobbs, Madison and Alanna Fore and Xane Dexter.
In addition to his parents, William S. and Phyllis A. Pottinger, he was preceded by his sister, Judy Blackmore.
Celebration of Life from 1:00 – 4:00 P.M., Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Moose Lodge, 311 N. Main St., Rochelle. Cremation care has been provided by the Unger-Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL. Visit www.ungerhorner.com to sign the online guest book.
