Timothy’s Obituary
Timothy Stephen Law, son of Lindal Stephen and Janice Lee (Pennebaker) Law, entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2023. Born on September 12, 1977, he is survived by his parents and his siblings Ruth Elizabeth (Law) Zweig, Crystal Katherine (Law) Clark, and Robert Stephen Law. He will be dearly missed by his family. Other survivors include many aunts and uncles: Deborah K. (Pennebaker) and Bill Williamson, James F. and Terry T. (Pierpoint) Pennebaker, Jr.; Kevin K. and Vineta (Bishop) Law, Colette K. (Law) and Mark Cowan, Layne C. and Karen (Flack) Law, Lori I. (Law) and Melvin Czeschin, and Gail M. (Law) and Willie Belleville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and fellow Marines.
Timothy’s legacy is one of service to his country. He proudly served in the United States Marines from 1999 to 2003, including a tour of combat duty in Iraq as an Assault Amphibious Vehicle Diesel Mechanic. While serving as a Marine Corps Sergeant, Tim earned a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and an Expert Rifle Badge.
Following Tim’s Honorable Discharge from active duty, he earned an Associate Degree in Graphic Arts from Palomar College in San Diego County, Calif. He enjoyed sketching and designing automotive wheel covers. Tim’s fondest activity was spending time with Frankie, his loyal service dog, who is sorely missing him.
Tim was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents James Franklin and Dorothy Louise (Cook) Pennebaker, Sr. He especially cherished the many one-on-one conversations and road trips he shared with his Grandpa Pennebaker. He is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joseph Curtis and Helen Irene (Smith) Law as well as his maternal great -grandparents Hollie and Gertrude (Hamilton) Pennebaker, and George and Anna Mae (Dee) Cook; paternal great-grandparents Washington McKendree and Ida Mae (Roderfeld) Law, and Francis and Goldie (Hoffman) Smith, and his Uncle Lonald Wayne and Aunt Brenda (Reed) Law.

The family will receive friends at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 625 St. Nicholas Dr., O’Fallon, IL, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 10 AM; followed by a Funeral Mass, at 11 AM, officiated by Father Nick Junker. A luncheon hosted by St. Nicholas’ Yesterdays’ Kids, will be served after Mass. Graveside Committal Service, with military honors, will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 2 PM.
