Robert Price Obituary
Robert L. ”Bob” Price, 75, of O’Fallon, IL, born October 28,1948, in Taylorville, IL, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Evelyn’s House in Creve Coeur, MO.
Bob was a caring, loving family man. He enjoyed playing golf, collecting cars, and going for long trips with his wife Mary on his Honda Gold Wing. His favorite color was chrome! After retirement, he enjoyed meeting with his mine buddies for breakfast every Tuesday morning.
Bob Graduated from Taylorville High School in 1966. He married Mary Ruth Silveus in 1967, they had a son (Allen) and later divorced. Bob married the love of his life, Mary Bredemeyer, in July of 1977, and they had two children, Chris and Kayla.
Bob went to work for Peabody Coal Company at Mine 10 from 1970 to 1994 when he transferred to the Peabody Mine in Marissa, IL. His mining career took him from Illinois to Kentucky and to West Virginia. While working in Kentucky he travelled with his beloved companion, a rescue dog named Callie. He retired from mining in 2010 from Patriot Coal, a subsidiary of Peabody Coal. Bob was also a member of Christ the King Apostolic church in O’Fallon, IL.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Edna Jewel Price (nee Carter); one brother, Richard Price; one sister-in-law, Michelle Price; and one brother-in-law, Mike Waterman.
Surviving Bob are his beloved wife, Mary Price (nee Bredemeyer) of O’Fallon, IL; three children, Allen (Sharon) Price of St. Charles, MO, Chris (Laura) Price of St. Louis, MO, Kayla (Ian Moeller) Patterson of Imperial, MO; four siblings, Carol Faye Waterman of Taylorville, IL, Judy (Gene) Durbin of Langleyille, IL, Donna (Vernon) Minix of Hewittville, IL, Mike (Diana) Price of Taylorville, IL; six grandchildren, Lauren (Antonio) Alvalos Gonzalez, Jake Price, Jordyn Kasch, Allexa Pabian, Lyli Pabian, Silas Moeller; and many nieces and nephews.
