Mary Emilie Johnson was born, raised, and resided in Concord, CA for 85 years. Mary moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2016 to live with family until her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth L Johnson.
Mary retired from the Concord Naval Weapons Station after 35 years of service. After retirement from the Concord Naval Weapons Station, she worked part time for the Diablo Valley College bookstore for 20 years.
After moving to Phoenix, Mary worked with family at a tax and accounting firm until her death. Mary truly loved her careers and had a passion for working.
Mary had a beautiful smile and she always made everyone feel welcome and happy. Mary loved life – she loved spending time with family and friends, loved traveling, and loved reading her cowboy romance books!
She is survived by her children, Lois (Bill) Trice, Edwin (Vicki) Johnson, & Talli (Chad) Talbot; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday October 27 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 2011 Arnold Industrial Way, Concord, CA.
