Samuel Scott Hodnett was born on March 14, 1934 in Lowndes County, Mississippi. He passed away on November 13, 2023, in Anaheim , California. He lives in Buena Park, Ca for 60 plus year. His parents were Claudia Mae Buford and Edward Crestus Hodnett. He had 3 siblings,Rupert “John” Hodnett, Elliott Hodnett, and Mary Ann Hodnett Johnson
He served in the U. S. Air Force. Which afterwards he went to Bible College in Tennessee for about a year and half. Then he moved out to California, where he met his wife Grace Violet Bailey. They got married on Sept. 14, 1963. They were married for 53 years
Samuel married into already made family. Grace Violet had 3 sons Fredrick H. Lord, Stephen J. Lord, and John R. Lord. Later on they had a daughter named Grace Elaine Hodnett.
Was a beloved Grandfather and Great Grandfather, and was known as Uncle Sam to all his nieces and nephews.
He work as a Postal Carrier for the U. S. Post Office 43 for years.
Samuel volunteered the Sierra Club. He and his wife volunteered to ‘Real Help’ which fed the homeless.
He love to reading the Bible, and went to Bible study. He try to never miss going to church.
Samuel love to hike in the San Bernardino mountains and love to travel in his green Opal .
His favorite author was E. Stanley Jones.
