Shortly after high school, Ron joined the United States National Guard. He was an entrepreneur from a young age owning and operating Mijal Concrete Company and later Heartland Gazebo. He enjoyed hunting, scuba diving, boating, snorkeling, playing blackjack, listening to and playing polka music on his concertina, taking pictures and sharing with others, making Rum Runners for friends, watching football especially the Green Bay Packers and taking golf cart rides in his neighborhood with his wife and dog, Coco. He is survived by his wife, Becky M. Mijal; his sons, Kevin J. Mijal, Kris S. Mijal, James R. (April) Wakefield, Geoffrey L. Wakefield; his granddaughters, Maddie Hessey, Lucy and Mickey Wakefield; his father-in-law, Carl L. Rhodes; many brother and sister-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ceil Mijal; his sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Rene Dupuis; his brother-in-law, Ric Rhodes; and mother-in-law, Ruth Rhodes. A funeral will be held at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent, WI, at a later date with his final interment in St. Ladislaus Cemetery. Sympathies message

  1. WE WERE WAS SHOCKED AND SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT RON’S PASSING. HE WAS A FRIEND AND CO-WORKER WITH TERRY AND I WHEN WE LIVED IN THE KEYS. A MAN OF MANY TALENTS, BOTH PHYSICAL AND MUSICAL. FOND MEMORIES OF SAILING TOGETHER ON OUR RENTAL BOATS WITH ALL OF OUR EMPLOYEES WHILE RON SERANADED US WITH HIS ACCORDIAN. A GENTLE SOUL WITH A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR. TOO SOON GONE, BUT IS WAS OUR GOOD FORTUNE TO RECONNECT WITH HIM THROUGH FACEBOOK OVER THE PAST COUPLE YEARS. PRAYERS AND FAITH IN CHRIST FOR HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. IN JESUS’ NAME. AMEN
