Genevieve A. Gianzero Harriman, New York Genevieve A. Gianzero, a longtime resident of Harriman, NY, passed away on January 24, 2023, at The Willows at Ramapo Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Genevieve was born on January 28, 1933, in Yonkers, NY, to Joseph Maglio and Josephine Florio. A loving mother and grandmother, Genevieve was a remarkable cook who enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. One of her greatest gifts was making everyone feel welcomed, always managing to fit 20 people around a 10-seat table. Genevieve devoted her life to her children and grandchildren; she will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Genevieve is survived by her four children: Patricia Schweizer, Patsy J. Gianzero, and his wife, Karen, Genevieve Taylor and her husband Curtiss, Lisa Heffner and her husband Danny; eight grandchildren: Andrew Fetky, Mark Fetky, Paul Kaleita and his wife Danielle, Marissa Kaleita, Alyssa Buchanan and her husband Eric, Daniel Heffner III, Marlayna Heffner, Calina Padilla-Schweizer; and three great-grandchildren: Isabella Kaleita, Natalie Kaleita, and Emma-Rose Kaleita. Genevieve was predeceased by her husband Patsy V. Gianzero, her two grandchildren Bobby and Danielle Schweizer, her daughter Donna Fetky and her husband Andrew Fetky, and her brother Joseph Maglio. A celebration of Genevieve’s life will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, between the hours of 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Tuesday, January 31, 2023, between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm at Flynn Funeral & Cremation Memorial Centers, inc., located at 139 Stage Road, Monroe, NY 10950. Burial will follow on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at St. Anastasia Cemetery, 21 N Main St, Harriman, NY 10926. Instead of flowers, the family, please ask that donations be made in Genevieve’s memory to St. Jude. Children’s Research Hospital, St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
