Charles Raymond Cratsley, age 77, of Corning, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Robert Packer Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1945 in Corning, the son of the late Stanley and Dorthea Cratsley. He married Penney Sherman on August 25, 1978. Charles loved his wife unconditionally and he enjoyed sitting on the porch talking to friends and family. He traveled up north to go salmon fishing and he was a great man. There is nothing he wouldn’t do to help others and he loved the outdoors. Charles especially loved his pets and he retired from Toshiba. He is survived by his wife, Penney, children, Shawn M. (Dori) Sherman, Pamela (Steven) Wilson, Ronald Cratsley, and William Sherman, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind Allyssa and her kids, Destiny, Alley, Hannah, Jacqulyn, Steven. Heather, Holly, Alexandrea Dominick, and Danielle, sisters-in-law, Susan Cratsley, Erma (Donny) Hunt, Kathy Sherman, Tina Davis, and Tim Davis, adopted friend/son Jared Mcenroe, and great grandchildren. A private cemetery service will be by invitation from the family only.
