Obituary McCray, Billie Taylor Knight, 82, was born on July 21, 1940 and died on February 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Carey and Margaret Anne Knight; and her sister, Betty Anne (Walter). She is survived by her husband, Bob; son, Chris (Grace); son, Carey; daughter, Caroline Hutton (Rick); two grandchildren, McCray and William Hutton; sister, Patsy (Dewey); sister, Nancy; sister, Kaye; and many nieces and nephews. Billie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She and Bob would have been married 60 years this July. She was a member of The Dunlora Woman’s Club and The Tuckahoe Woman’s Club and held an honorary life membership to Presbyterian Women. She was a member of Third Church for 43 years, where she lovingly served in Presbyterian Women circles, as a Sunday school teacher and as a choir member. She taught elementary school, loved to play bridge and travel, was a faithful prayer warrior and loved spending time with her family. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, February 6, at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 5200 Grove Ave., Richmond, Va. A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, at St. Giles Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Third Church, 500 Forest Ave., Richmond, Va. 23229.
