Sharon Louise Weaver was a loving and devoted wife, a warm and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also a beloved friend to everyone she met. She was a nurturing and caring person who brought much joy to each life she touched, including her fur babies who gave her so much happiness through the years. Sharon passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 81. Her smile, her laugh, her hugs, and her infectious joy for life will be missed by everyone who knew her. Sharon was born on June 5, 1941, in Galloway, Ohio to Laura and Harry Evans. She was raised in Medway, Ohio with her sister, Donna Jean Miller, her brother, Hugh Evans and her heavenly brother, David. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in New Carlisle, Ohio. She met and married James Weaver on November 25, 1961. Sharon is survived by her loving husband Jim, and their three children, daughter Terri Hubler and husband David; daughter Kathy Weaver; and son Michael Weaver and wife Stephanie. “Grandma” and “GG”, as she was affectionately known, cherished time with her grandchildren Amanda Lawson, Jennifer Bush, Mashawnee Olivarez, Miranda Gill, Jason Hubler, James Tidd, Ryan Weaver, Jacob Tidd, Rachel Weaver, and great grandchildren Leona Hubler, and Amelia Olivarez. In total, she has 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Possibly, her favorites were her dogs Nugget and Kahli, with their endless supply of kisses and slobber. They brought her great joy! If ever there was an adventurous spirit, it was Sharon. She loved living abroad and travelling the world with her husband, Jim, and their children, to places like Brazil, Singapore, Thailand, and Mexico. She happily sang cheers for her Brazil soccer team during the World Cup and rooted for her beloved Houston Astros during the World Series. She loved being outside, gardening, and playing golf. In the summer you might find Sharon on the beaches of Florida, cruising to Alaska, or riding elephants in Chang Mai, Thailand. She was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed cheering for their soccer, baseball and softball games, swimming, and snowboarding, and she attended all her kids’ drama presentations, band, and choir concerts. She often volunteered and even spent time caring for children in an orphanage in Thailand. Sharon was “Mom”; everyone’s mom. She loved them and they loved her for her spunky nature and her sense of humor. She was often the object or the source of many practical jokes. There was never a dull moment in her presence. She was a strong force to be reckoned with and set such a wonderful example for those around her. More recently, she enjoyed painting ceramics with her friends, quiet time on her porch by her pool, attending fun-filled Bunco parties with her wonderful friends from her neighborhood and spending cherished time with her family creating lasting memories.
