April Melendez, 31, of Lubbock, Texas passed away December 13, 2022. April was born May 6, 1991 in Roswell , NM to Richard Beltran and Tracy Beltran . Our precious daughter April had a heart of gold! She would help anyone in need even if it meant going without. Her children meant the world to her, and she would do anything for them. She tried so hard to give them everything a parent could ever hope to. She joked in such a crazy way that you couldn’t help but laugh with her. She always had an inside joke for everyone she got to know. My baby, loved so hard and cared deeply for the ones she treasured! She was strong-willed and beautiful! She was independent and worked hard for everything she had. She had so many friends and had the best time with them. She had a huge heart and would take in any animals that she found. If she couldn’t take care of them, she would call her Tia Edie or her sister Crystal to help out. We have an emptiness that no one else could ever fill. She knew that she could depend on us for anything. She would call her dad anytime she needed work on her car, house, or anything because she knew he would be there for her. She would call me (mom) when she was at the stores to see if I need something while she was there. She had ideas for anything and everything that you could think of. She loved to shop and was really good at finding deals. Costco was her favorite. April was a beautiful daughter and mother with many special qualities about herself. She was independent, strong, and determined about her life and daughters. She would put herself last to give her babies what they needed. Being a single mother is a difficult job. She gave her best at being a great mother and daughter. She was determined to do her best each day . She made me a proud father and grandfather! Now I have three beautiful babies to provide for and I’m grateful for this new journey. I believe God has his plans for my daughter, and also for me. Thank you, my baby for the joy and memories you gave to me and mom! I miss and hurt without you! Give grandma a big hug and kisses from all of us. Now you and Isaac can be together again. Love you with all my heart baby!!! We all do!!! She is preceded in death by her Grandmother Elisa Espinosa, Great-grandmother Reducinda Sosa, and fiancé Isaac DeLeon. Family visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Home Sunday, December 18, 2022, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Rosary Services will be 2:00 PM in Sanders Memorial Chapel. Mass will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 19, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park.
